The origin of Câlin d'Ours

Calin d’Ours is a Prosecco that originates from an estate in Treviso, Veneto. This area is the heart of the Prosecco DOC, even though its name officially comes from a town in eastern Friuli.

The origin of Prosecco

The history of Prosecco begins in Conegliano Valdobbiadene, a region that still produces the highest quality Prosecco. Located about 50 km from Venice and 100 km from the Dolomites, this area offers a perfect climate for producing exceptional Prosecco.

“With a history spanning at least 2000 years, the ancient Romans knew Prosecco as Puccino, and the first written reference to this wine dates back to 1772”

Over the years, Prosecco has been refined and specialized, with production now limited to the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region.
